PlaceCity is entering a new phase. In Oslo and Vienna we are working with stakeholder to ensure a meaningful activation of public spaces under difficult pandemic restrictions and winter conditions. We invite all cities and neighbourhoods to connect with us and try, experiment and find solutions together.
PlaceCity Vienna is starting the implementation of placemaking activities in Vienna’s Floridsdorf district with a new Facebook page. The Vienna teams lead by City of Vienna (MA18 Municipal Department Urban Development and Planning) will publish her frequently new calls for action. You will see here all activities launched by SuperWien and Social Design (University of applied arts).
Just a year ago we started to use the hastag #PlaceCity. We asked our collaborators and placemaking friends to use the hashtag to show us their favorite places and have already hundreds of entries. We want to extend our invitation to everyone. Please mark your pictures, projects and interventions which you want us to tell us about simply with #PlaceCity. We wish to see your contribution on our wall of inspiration.
