Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) programme offers enormous potential to provide good practices in support of the EUI efforts on capacity building, innovation and knowledge. The project – Capitalisation activity on good practices for integrated approach in Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) projects – aims to identify and collect best practices, identify elements that can serve as a basis for capacity building and inspire similar actions in different European contexts.
Therefore it is important to define the most effective ways to create a better understanding of the UIA projects, make them comprehensible in different European contexts and identify elements that can serve as a basis for capacity building in other cities as well. Eutropian and AEIDL have just started the first phase of the research, which consist of a comprehensive and systematic review of the 86 UIA funded projects aiming at the proposal of a shortlist of fifteen to twenty projects that are exemplary and that will be further analysed.
