We are looking for a Financial and Administrative Assistant who will be supporting the implementation of the financial management of Eutropian, which includes payments and invoice processing, budgeting, controlling, analyzing, and improving financial management systems in the company.

The role will be working closely with the Managing Directors. 

POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Vienna, Austria
  • Work commitment: 60-80  hours per month
  • Contract: Kollektivvertrag Information und Consulting, category III (starting from €820 netto for 60h per month, increasing according to experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION 

While many tasks, areas of work, and projects will be shaped by you in alignment with the whole Eutropian team, we are looking for your support in the following areas: 

  • Accounts payables – leading the incoming invoice process, preparing monthly accounts payables overview, preparing payments
  • Accounts receivables – leading the outgoing invoice process, preparing monthly accounts receivable overview, collecting accounts receivables
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting of the organization
  • Controlling company budget
  • Continuing the upgrade of our financial processes and related systems integrations
  • Leading annual and monthly accounts closures, as well as tax and project audits
  • Supporting financial reporting in funding applications and ongoing projects (e.g. financial design and financial project reporting)
  • Acting as a liaison to external service providers (such as tax advisors and payroll accounting) 
  • Acting as a liaison to national and international funding agencies and programmes (FFG, Horizon Europe, etc.) 

THE CANDIDATE’S IDEAL WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Min. 2 years of experience in budgeting, financial management, and controlling, ideally within the non-profit / research sector (in Austria);
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English language (including the ability to interpret and understand legal documents);
  • Familiarity with or ability to gain respective knowledge in non-profit tax-related legal topics in Austria;
  • Capacity to analyse the financial data;
  • Willingness to acquire new skills, openness to learn and develop with the organization and the team;
  • Willingness to work in a team both through presence and online meetings;
  • Well-versed with programs like MS Excel, G-Drive;
  • Open to learning about new digital tools and programs and motivation to create workflows with digital tools;
  • A high degree of self-reliance and (self-) organizational skills;
