Eutropian joined various exciting participatory sessions and interactive workshop at the Cities Forum held 6-17 March  2023 in Torino, Italy. The forum is a biennial event of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy. The event brings together key urban stakeholders at European, national, regional and local levels who are committed to a green and just future of cities.

Culture and Cultural Heritage Cities – Study Visit & Talk and dialogues

We participated in these walks and dialogues organised by the European Urban Initiative, exploring how collaborative cultural venues and projects activate locals. We met Torino and Tilburg-based local initiatives whose work focuses on culture, cultural heritage, and we got to explore their roles in engaging and mobilizing citizens. These guided site visits provided great inspiration from Urban Lab Torino, Cecchi Point Casa del Quartiere, BeeOzanam Torino.

Getting to know these great initiatives, brainstorming together and sharing ideas with Kallipolis, ToNite UIA Torino, Cascina Roccafranca, Rete delle Case del Quartiere were really fruitful, giving us a lot of food for thought, and we made great personal (re)connections.

Collaborative experiences of culture roundtable discussion

UIA expert Levente Polyak from Eutropian moderated the roundtable discussion on collaborative experiences of culture and tools for mobilising locals through culture and heritage. What better venue to hold these discussions than in the multi-faceted, dynamic community hub BeeOzanam Torino combating cultural poverty and social inclusion!
